Duff & Phelps, a Trident V Portfolio Company, Acquires American Appraisal and Kinetic Partners
NEW YORK, February 24, 2015 Duff & Phelps Corporation, the premier global valuation and corporate finance advisor, today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of American Appraisal Associates, Inc., a global full-service valuation and fixed asset management advisor.

As a result of this transaction, Duff & Phelps will create a dedicated Financial Regulatory and Compliance Practice, based on Kinetic Partners’ recognized leadership in providing regulatory consulting and compliance counsel to the financial services industry.

The Kinetic Partners’ Audit practice (trading as Kinetic Partners Audit LLP and Kinetic Partners Cayman LLP) is not included in the transaction and remains separate from Duff & Phelps. However, the firms will work closely to provide seamless service to joint audit, tax and/or regulatory compliance clients.
