Industry Knowledge & Network

Stone Point’s deep industry relationships with carriers and independent agents helped position Stone Point as the preferred buyer of the business from a consortium of insurance companies.

M&A Sourcing

Stone Point helped to expand the Vertafore platform with three acquisitions.

Business & Product Development

Stone Point helped the company focus its business development and R&D activity on its agency management segment of the business, including rolling out a hosted application.

Executive Recruiting & Alignment

Stone Point recruited Senior Advisor Bob Lipp as Executive Chairman to help rationalize the company’s cost structure. Stone Point also helped to solidify Vertafore’s management team and recruited its new CEO Euan Menzies.

Operational Assistance & Governance

Stone Point helped Vertafore rationalize the business, closing five offices and reducing headcount from 1,100 to 800. Additionally, Steve Friedman, Bob Lipp and Chuck Davis advised the company by serving as successive Chairmen of the Board.
